Courtney, Milligan, and I had a small feature in a USA Today article on not using credit cards. The article went live today and can be found in Money page 2B in the print version (you can’t miss huge picture). It can also be found online here:
- USA Today: More consumers just say no to credit cards
As some of you know, Courtney has a passion for photography, so she got a kick out of having an official photographer’s credit for the family photo that was used in the print version. 🙂

That is awesome! Getting some national press, moving on up! Great work and nice article write up.
Hope all is well with you and the fam.
Congrats guys!
Congrats on the USA Today Article!! I was wondering how you arranged for an article in USA Today.
Wonderful job Baker! You forgot to mention your financial mutant power post to the new readers. It’s a great mix of information and entertainment. 🙂
Back in the US for, what, a week, and already in the spotlight? Very impressive.
Congrats to you both! 🙂 I hope that happens to me someday. 😉 (Either the interview or the photo credit, haha.)
Baker!
Freaking awesome man. Congratulations, that’s huge.
-Steve
Baker, you are the man! I’m not surprised at all, you really have a great site with some killer articles. Keep doing your thing man!
May you have safe travels,
Brad
Very cool! Baker, where have you been for the past month? Are you back in America? Whatever happened to Thailand?
I had drinks w/ Jun the other day, and he says ‘hi’.
Just got a chance to look at the article. I overlooked the fact that the photo was only in the online edition. I would have bought a dead-tree edition if I realized that.
What’s up with them not having an actual LINK to your site, but just showing the URL? I mean, they have a link to American Express – in an article about people NOT using credit cards.
Way to go! That’s really exciting!!
Great press! In my blog “Dollars Not Debt”, I discuss some of my ideas about my path to DEBT FREEDOM! You have a great site and USA is some awesome exposure. Kepp up the great work>
Dollars Not Debt
Hey Baker!
Congrats on the national press – too bad they didn’t include Courtney’s picture in the online version, I checked out Nomad Baby and you have got yourself one talented wife!
Hope your travels are all that you’re wishing for – I enjoy the updates 🙂
Jessi
Congratulations. I will have to check out the Money Mag layout. Glad to hear you’re around!
Congrats on the big article!
Nice.
Nice work Baker! USA Today, I believe, is the most read newspaper in the nation (by circulation). Good stuff!
Congrats ~ that’s amazing. How fun to be featured in an offline newspaper. Your blog is great and because of you I’m actually working on getting rid of a bunch of my stuff! 🙂 Thanks.
Great to see you getting highly deserved recognition. Cheers!
Whoa, that is GREAT news!! CONGRATS 100-fold!
I have not had a credit card in 15 years, where’s my feature? ! bah humburg~
