Personal Finance Hour #2: Emergency Funds

Most of you have heard by now of the Personal Finance Hour hosted by J.D. of Get Rich Slowly and Jim of Bargaineering.  If you haven’t heard of the concept yet, it’s an hour-long talk radio show about all types of personal finance issues.  It is hosted by Blog Talk Radio (streamed live) and this weeks show focused on Emergency Funds.

You can click here for a full recap of the 2nd show, including a full-length audio recording.  I know a lot of you were in the room with us chatting it up, but for those who weren’t you really need to check it out.  I have a feeling this is going to pick up a lot of steam in the coming weeks.  You get honest, approachable advice from two of the leading personal finance bloggers on the web today.  You can’t really ask for more than that!

Plus as a bonus this week!  If you listen to the full audio you get to hear me ramble on and on about not using credit cards as an emergency fund during a call-in question.  I kind of got a little lost when asking the question as evident in the recording!  Hey, what can you do?

Kudos to J.D./Jim and I hope you all will join me and many other personal finance bloggers/readers in the chat room next Monday!
