Not Another Post On This Blog ‘Til First Guide Is Finished!

in MvD Updates

I won’t be posting another post, article, or video on this site until the rough draft of my first guide (the simple finances one) is 100% complete.

That includes finish writing the last 25% and obtain the first copy of the full design.

I’ve been putting it off way too long.  I owe to myself and I owe it to those of you that have continued to support me.

I said in my 2010 goals post that it was ‘go time’.  Now it’s time for me to put up or shut up.

Hopefully we’ll resume a bigger and badder edition of our regular scheduled programming  within a week or so!

Thanks for waiting with me…

Xoxoxo,

-Baker

Sometimes it doesn’t to put everything else on hold to get shit done. I fully support you doing this Baker! No complaints from me.

Sometimes a laser focus is the only way to cut through the walls. Way to punch in!

P.S. Anyone know how to get your personal avatar to show up? I’ve got my image loaded in Gravatar, but its not coming up here.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, Ben. Be sure to use the same email address when you comment that you used when you registered for Gravatar. I goofed up on this the first few times – once by using the wrong email address and once by having a typo.

Within a week or so! That’d be awesome! Talk about putting your mind to the grind! Or something like that.
Looking forward to future reading!

I’m not going anywhere. You do what you’ve gotta do. It’s WAY too easy to get distracted these days, spread too thin over a dozen different projects, getting nothing done. GOOD FOR YOU for being disciplined enough to focus on closing the deal.

Can’t wait to hear how it all turns out! Best of luck!!!

Careful about not losing blog momentum though. Some readers are fickle. I have taken time off in the past only posting a couple of times a week instead of the usual one per day and both times it took me 3 months to build the steam up to its previous levels.

Waiting as patiently as possible. Must learn to control finances (struggling, straining voiceover). I second the above post, readers can be pretty impatient for new content sometimes. Present company excluded of course.

This is kind of like Parkinsons Law. You set a short deadline so you will complete it definitely. Committing publicly is a great step too. Good luck Baker!
