Great input! These are definitely some other areas where it pays to be extra careful. I'm enjoying the 31 Day Challenge and am interested to check out your blog, as well. Thanks for all the support!

I found your blog via the 31 Day Challenge. A great list Baker. I'll definitely implement some of your ideas.

I've found there is an increase in #26. Often companies will phone up to ask you to confirm your details before they give you theirs and can get quite 'shirty' if you don't give them the information.

And ... what about when you buy computer or electronic equipment. Despite the shop being busy and there is a long queue behind you, the cashier will always ask you for your details in a loud voice while they tap it into their computer and then repeat it to you in the same volume!

Sindy’s last blog post..Ten of my Favourite Free tools

Here's a few more that are really important (and I know, I was a victim of identity theft...)

Be sure to NOT click remember password on any computer but your own. And if you do store passwords on your own computer be sure to lock said computer when you aren't using it (lock with a password of course).

Always be sure to log out of any information sensitive website you visit.

Don't make online purchases from any site that seems even remotely sketchy.

I wrote an article which helps you to use different password for every site, and yet still not have to remember them. Check it out!

@ Elizabeth - Thanks for the kind words, am I'd be proud to be on your "tightwad" bookmarks!

@ James - You are exactly right. I remember my dad carrying a list like that in his wallet when I was growing up! It's an awesome idea until something gets stolen! Thanks dropping in!
